City Branding is a complex, long-term, and exciting challenge. Creating a brand for a city with 3,000 years of history requires research, thought, and vision. That’s why we engaged the most important city stakeholders to identify and express the values that define its soul.

“Brescia. La tua città europea” is the project that embodies the spirit and the values of the city, guiding it towards the future and sharing its story across Italy, Europe, and the world. Both offline and online communication (through the new website and social media profiles) serve as a voice of an authentic Brescia: outspoken, direct, but also colourful, ironic, and optimistic.

To create an even more distinctive identity, we designed a custom font: Brescia Sans. Inspired by the linear grotesques of the 19th and 20th centuries, with large and imperfect letters, crafted for headlines and urban displays, this typography highlights the verticality of letters, the street typography, and uses fine punctuation to bring rhythm and uniqueness to even the simplest phrases.

The new city branding was launched through an OOH campaign, structured in two phases. In the first one, colours are protagonists: the city was filled with silent billboards, bold blocks of colour displaying only the website and Instagram profile. In the second one, magically, the words appeared. Short and striking copy: playful wordplay and twists on classic idioms that reveal the essence of the city.

The Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023 project was created as a symbol of hope, pride and revitalisation following the difficult period of the pandemic. For the first time, two cities joined forces to ‘Grow Together’, forming one Italian Capital of Culture.

The opening of BGBS2023 was a memorable event, marking the start of a year full of culture and innovation. The Festival of Lights illuminated both cities with breathtaking shows, creating a magical atmosphere that captivated thousands of people. The Unreel portal, connecting Bergamo and Brescia, was a tangible symbol of unity and connection, making this edition of the Capital of Culture truly unique.

We covered 7 events live, during which our team of photographers, videomakers and social media managers were split between the two cities to report in real time on what was happening, capturing and sharing unforgettable moments with the spectators and creating an immersive and engaging experience for all. We generated great impact and engagement on social media through live coverage of the most exciting events of the year.

How did we manage to get more than 100 people into a museum with a game?

Together with Longobardi in Italia, we came up with ‘Prima che il Gallo Canti’ (Before the Rooster Sings), an adventure-type game based on the world’s most famous role-playing game, all accompanied by a manual and a comic strip story introducing the players to the adventure.

The aim was to make the historical heritage of the Longobardi attractive to a younger audience. The event we organized on the 18th November at the Santa Giulia Museum in Brescia sold out in less than 24 hours.

For BPER Banca, one of the most important banks in Italy, we designed Paghette, an editorial plan designed to help young people improve their financial education.

Explaining financial concepts can be hard and boring, but the goal of Paghette is to be simple and engaging, using memes, pop culture topics, and irony to help users develop new knowledge in a fun and light-hearted way.

The aim is to raise awareness and engage younger people about the importance of financial education in order to provide them with the skills they need to manage financial resources, make informed choices and build a solid foundation for their economic future.

For Intercultura, we rethought the digital communication strategy, diversifying targets and channels.

We opened and managed the Facebook and Tiktok channels, kept the Instagram channel alive, while always remembering the values of the association and its special features.

In 2021, to position Interculture, we launched the project “Vai Oltre”, a quiz dedicated to high school students to discover their propensity as explorers.

In 2022, we designed and supported the ‘Direzione Intercultura’ project, in which a Tiktoker travelled to 3 different countries to meet exchange students who were currently on an exchange program with the association. The result is a serialised travelogue for TikTok and Instagram, told in the first person by the students themselves.

With Intercultura we have always taken a four-handed approach, a perfect example of synergetic collaboration between agency and client.

We have been working with the Università Cattolica on an ongoing basis for some time now, contributing to projects that are transforming the image of the renowned Italian university. Nunc is one of the building blocks of this journey. It is a digital platform that will house the vast archive of digital content produced over the coming years, making it easy to access and available for reference.

Nunc is not just a digital archive, it is a more ambitious project that will help the university communicate its knowledge and give a face to all the people who are creating value through education, research and networking in the university world.

We designed everything about this brand, from the name to the logo, up to and including the animated identity, creating the graphic and sound assets that now accompany the digital content on the web platform designed and developed together with the Nunc team.

November 20 is the World Day of Remembrance for Road Victims and, in collaboration with the Province of Brescia, the “CONdividere la strada della vita” Association and the Associazione Italiana Familiari e Vittime della Strada, as well as with the support of a psychologist, we have developed an awareness campaign to focus attention on the risks of using a phone while driving.

When we participate in an awareness campaign, we become more involved in the effects rather than the causes. For this campaign, instead of trying to shock through the use of strong imagery, we used a narrative pretext to tell the story of a message that will remain as a permanent reminder.

It was both meaningful and valuable for us to take part in this project and we are hopeful it will have a real impact on everyone.

In 2015 Milan hosted the World Expo whose theme was “Feeding the planet, energy for life”. The event, prepared over many years of work, had a worldwide resonance, bringing as many as 22 million people to Milan.

We worked for three years to define the social media strategy and communication plan for the event, managing a budget of two million euros. We coordinated the entire social media management team and the influencers involved, establishing a coherent communication strategy across all channels.
